The Reverse DC Motor means that the motor is used in verse, as a signal generator, you turn the motor by hand and it generates a voltage and a oscillation.
The way i use it is to controll other modules, the big knob is nice to operate and it has a range of -10v to +10v. The motor makes the voltage go up or down (left = down-, right = up+), when the motor stops rotating the voltage will return to where it was set by the big knob. The output range can be set by a potmeter, and you can also mix a external signal into the CV output, the external signal can be attenuated witha potmeter.
CV in (left jack socket): CV input can be any signal, in a range -12v to +12v. The volume can be adjusted with a potmeter.
CV out (middle jack socket): The range is +10v to -10v. The output is determined by the Motor + Big knob + External input signal.
Audio out (right jack socket): The range is +10v to -10v. This is a audio signal that comes from the motor, it is amplified and clipped by diodes, you can use it also as a clock source, altho it is not a clean signal.
Solder the power socket.
Solder the resistors, a 1k resistor on the left, 220 ohm on the right.
After soldering the resistors you can mount everything, but wait with soldering.
Put painting tape over the LED holes, and stick the LED's to it, this way they alight flat with the front pannel. This is nice also because your hand can then move over the front pannel without hitting them.
They should look like this.
Now you can solder everything, the pots have a maximum temperature of 280 degrees for the wiper legs and 300 for the mount legs.
Mount the motor with the M2 4mm bolts (be carefull, do not tighten them to hard, because then the with destroy the tappings in the motor and the bolt will not mount anymore).
Solder the wires, the blue wire goes to the blue dot on the motor.
Mount the washers onto the M3 12mm bolts, 6 washers per bolt, tighten them with the M3 nut. Then slide onto the shaft of the motors and tighten the bolts.
Put the knobs on the pots, if they are loose you can widen the pot flower shaft with a flat head screw driver.
Make the power cable and now it should be ready.
